Early copies of V8 shipped with the HP 9000 Series 200 manuals listed as HP 200 LX manuals. The titles in the index page were later changed to match the actual manuals.

The HP-97 Color Manual is missing the low battery indicator in the figure on page 45. This has probably been missing since 2007 but was first noticed (or reported) in Version 8.

1.0 (version not marked on label) Initial single CD with no manual scans. (Aug 1998)
2.0 The addition of over 100 manual scans made this a two CD set. (Jan 1999)
2.01 Added a scan of page 2-5 missing in the HP-94 Tech Ref manual.
3.00-3.10 The CD set expanded from 100 to 250 manuals and from 2 to 5 CDs. (May 2000)
4.0 The set expanded to 7 CDs or one single layer DVD containing more than 450 documents. (Jan 2003)
5.0 The set expanded to 10 CDs or one dual layer DVD containing more than 725 documents. (June 2005)
6.0 The set expanded to 2 DVDs containing approximately 1000 Documents. (June 2007) Many calculator manuals became available in full color in this version. The manuals were also available on 18 CDs.
7.0 The set expanded to 2 dual-layer DVDs containing approximately 1400 Documents (including 280 new UL programs.) (Oct 2009). Most manuals became searchable for the first time and PDF tables of contents were added to many of the color manuals. People who want a smaller set or a single manual can order one of 23 CDs.
8.0 The set expanded to over 14GB and ships on a single USB flash drive with about 1700 Documents. (Nov 2014). People who want a smaller set or a single manual can order one of 28 CDs.
