HP-41 Power Bank (82120D) manual & first production run.
Hi all,

The Owner's Guide of the new 82120D LiPo battery Power Bank for the HP-41 is now available in the following link.

First production run of 12 units will be ready during the next week. Just contact me to clonix41@gmail.com if you're interested.

A few small but relevant upgrades have been included in the production units according to the tests and information gathered from the beta users and my own.

- The Battery board is now connected using 4 double DuPont headers, 8 in total, instead of 6.

- The position of these headers has been slightly (0.25mm) shifted upwards to allow more clearance during the insertion/extraction and prevent the unit from rubbing against the calculator's battery well lower edge.

- Upper side of the Battery board is now also lowered by 2mm providing a more evenly sitting on the Circuit board.

- The Circuit board footprint has been trimmed to avoid the charging port cover from being displaced when inserting/removing the Power Bank.

- The bottom end of the contact terminals have been covered with shrink tube to minimize the exposed surface, hence reducing the possibility of unwanted contacts while the unit is removed from the calculator.

- The LiPo battery is now held in place using Kapton heat resistant tape.

- The safety switch actuator lever has been changed from wheel to curved lever. This prevents the actuator from engaging under the Battery board.

Comments and suggestions are welcome as usual.

All the best from the Canary Islands.

Diego.

Hi Massimo,

Sorry about this extra long delay. :-(

As far as I know all others beta units I've sent have already been delivered.

Hope you receive it in short.

Best.

Diego.

RE: HP-41 Power Bank (82120D) manual & first production run.
Hi

@Aurelio,

I'll be finishing the first batch of production (AKA Gamma) units during this weekend.

As stated on previous posts, please email me to "clonix41@gmail.com" if you're interested.

@Massimo,

Now that you've rescued the unit from the Customs' highjacking (after ransom), I hope you can get good results in your tests of that beta. :-)

Please feel free to comment here or email me.

Best wishes and have a nice weekend.

Diego.
