Questions about and problems with HP calculators
The hp forum can usually answer questions far faster than I can. The forum is read by hundreds of HP calculator users each day. You may also wish to browse the articles forum for detailed help and repair articles. If you ask me a question about your calculator, it might take several weeks for a response. I don't use all models regularly but on the forum, someone uses every calculator.

Repairs: DIY and services
Please see the repairs and batteries page. There are additional repair articles in articles forum. If you can't find your answer there, please post a question in the hp forum. Several regular readers of the forum know much more about repairs than I do. The Museum itself does not have a repair service.

Batteries: where to obtain and how to repair them
Please see the repairs and batteries page and battery packs and chargers section. There are additional battery articles in articles forum. If you wish to buy a battery pack, please try the museum classifieds. If you still have a question about repairing battery packs, please post it in the hp forum. Several regular readers of the forum are very good at repairing batteries. The Museum itself does not have a repair service or sell batteries.

Manuals and Instructions
Most HP manuals are available on Flash drive or CD-ROM. Please visit the CD order page. The manuals may be printed or viewed on-screen. All of the instructions that I have for HP calculators are on the website or the CDs. You may order the entire set (hundreds of manuals) or a single CD.

I'm sorry but I have no instructions for non-HP calculators beyond what is written on the website.

Acquiring a calculator, accessory, part, ROM module, tape etc.
Please try the museum classifieds. Here is more information on where to find calculators. The museum does not have any calculators, parts of software available to sell, loan or rent.

Value / Price
For HPs, please see the collector's corner. For non-HPs, I'm sorry but I don't know. Though I have an assortment of older calculating machines in the museum, these were picked up at very low cost in the mid 1990s. I have no idea what they might be worth now.

Question about a non-HP calculator
Everything I know about non-HP calculators is currently on the website. Sorry.

Earlier serial number
Many people who email make the mistake of comparing the right-most digits on the their calculator (the sequence number) to the digits listed in the collector's corner. Please verify that you are comparing the left-most digits (ie the date code portion) to the numbers shown. If your left-most digits are earlier, please contact me. For example, if the digits listed in the collector's corner are 2338 and your calculator has the serial number 2411S01310, then your calculator is a later sample.

Web Design / Search Engine optimization
Thank you but I have already received hundreds, possibly thousands, of such offers. Amazingly, most of these are from gmail addresses implying that the web designer hasn't even designed a site of his/her own. I am not currently looking for additional offers of these types.

Security Questions (I don't know the answer)
We're sorry if they cause you any inconvenience. They are hopefully obscure enough to keep most of the spammers away, but are easy enough for anyone who knows something about HP calculators or is willing to take a few minutes to find an answer. Typically questions about older HPs can be quickly answered by looking at the museum, and questions about the Prime are typically answered by a search through the manual.
