Hello my german colleagues
Is there a german manual for the HP22S?
If so, can the owner scan it?
Otherwise I would like to do that.

The 27S was scanned by me ;-)
The german manual for the HP22S ist impossible to found @ www.

I bought an HP-22S from a german fellow on this forum some years ago and the calculator came with the HP-22S benutzerhandbuch. Is this what you're looking for?

Al at bitsavers.org scans and catalogs huge quantities of doc. I have no idea how he does it. Your comment reminded me of my own deplorable situation with regard to cataloging documentation. I have fairly huge quantities spread across multiple machines in multiple countries. I have never been able to find enough time, or money, or whatever it was to straighten it out into one central location.

Scanning is required to obtain the text.
I like to restore the old manuals, remove all points and give the manuals a new touch. Like a facelift of older celebrities :-o

I have this problem just on a single PC, more often than I'd care to admit....

As we've all experienced the reality of seeing some interesting resource online somewhere, saying to ourselves "I will come back to get this when I need it, or maybe even bookmark it now, for later" and then later comes along and the resources is no longer available, for a variety of reasons. So, my way of coping is when I see a resource, I simply download it, if it's even slightly likely that I'll want it.

The problem, as you've alluded, is not only organizing stuff, but also recalling what has been grabbed already. I often think "I don't have that, I'll get it now" and then upon navigating to the "right" place to file it, I see I already have it.

The good news: I'm fairly consistent about where I put stuff

The bad news: I remember less often than I'd like which items I already have.

Keeping track of multiple machines in multiple countries... yeah, that won't happen... lol
