4FJ23AA vs. 2AP18AA
Today I received my HP Prime. It's my first HP calculator.
When I registered it at hp.com after entering my serial number, the site told me the model number - which I expected to be 2AP18AA. But instead I got 4FJ23AA. Hardware version in system help tells 'D'. Though the code 4FJ23AA suggests a later version than 2AP18AA, I'd like to know for sure: Is it a later or an earlier version than 2AP18AA? Anybody with a similar number? Anything known about this model? |

RE: 4FJ23AA vs. 2AP18AA
I'm not certain, but this new sku could be for non-retail pkg which online sellers often prefer as it's easier to stock, pack, etc. and it often costs them a tiny bit less.
@emax - Was your Prime in the retail, plastic bubble packaging, or some more generic style, and what was the model info printed on the pkg? --Bob Prosperi |

@stevetuc: Thank you, I actually had found some pages via google, but they didn't tell me much - except that such a number exists.

It was in a blister package. I just saw, that, astonishingly, the print on the cardboard says "2AP18AA#1BS", which differs from what the hp.com registration told me. Didn't see that before you asked. |

Well, so much for that wag, sorry it was no help. Anyhow, thanks for posting this to raise awareness about the new sku; goggling it shows that it widely seen on many retailer websites, so apparently not too new, just not well known. --Bob Prosperi |
