FX-850P memory question
I just started up my FX-850P today and its in a very good condition after all this years!
Its the standard FX-850P with 8 KB memory.
I wonder what the FRE0 and FRE1 commands should report back?
FRE0 gives 1510 and FRE1 gives 3536.
Is that correct?

edit. After a CLEAR command the FRE0 gives 1536.

The English manual is available here:

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/358132...-850p.html

If you look on page 90, you see this chart:
Quote:EXPANDED MEMORY CONFIGURATION (UNIT=BYTES)

Standard
FRE 1 3536
FRE 2 1536
User's area 5072

RP-8 RAM Expansion Pack
FRE 1 11728
FRE 2 1536
User's area 13624

RRP-33 RAM Expansion Pack
FRE 1 29648
FRE 2 8192
User's area 37840

FRE 1 capacity value is when no programs or DATA BANK data are stored.
FRE 2 capacity can be changed using the CLEAR command .

FRE0 is the space for variables that hasn’t yet been used. Look closely at the chart on page 90 and you’ll see it!
