Yikes! The New Bing
Well I guess we all saw it coming. The Bing search engine is now that chat daemon. I for one welcome our AI overlords

RE: Yikes! The New Bing
Seems to work the same for me...maybe you have the ask the correct question before magic AI kicks in? Guessing it is mostly marketing drivel.

It's not fully public yet. You have to sign up for the waitlist, and at some point they will give your account access to the new AI bot. I signed up yesterday, so we'll see how long it takes. |

RE: Yikes! The New Bing
I think the real question would be why were you part of the 0.00000000001% of people who even try to use Bing.

Less of my life stored on Google servers that way too. I do try a search on Google on occasion but don't find anything I did not find with Bing. |

Having your info stored on Microsoft servers isn't any better. There are plenty of search engines that actually work and are not Google It took several years of cleaning malware off of my parents pc before I finally got them to quit using the msn/bing garbage. Microsoft not only stores and tracks just like google but also allows malware in their ads. |

This is what I fail to understand. So you don't want Google's ads following you but Microsoft's ads are OK? And Microsoft's ad partners who install spyware via Bing ads are ok? And Microsoft falsely accusing other companies of abuse while abusing is OK? There are plenty of non Google/Bing/Yahoo search engines that don't do the crap they do. But its reallt annoying to see people have issues with Google but then use a worse company like Microsoft. |

I've found it to provide more useful responses to highly technical questions, i.e. "Where can I find Verilog sources for an SPI master?" than keyword driven search engines. Google, old Bing, DuckDuckGo, etc. just seem to return references that have one or more of the nouns stripped from the query. I'd consider that an improvement.
