A Casio mystery
Hi all. If Casio replaces the 991EX Classwiz with the 991CW Classwiz, what would you recommend purchasing instead?

From the feedback i've read online you should stick with the 991EX. Every function is buried under many many layers of "dumb-student-friendly" menus.

All the "back to school" sections in supermarkets and stationers around here (UK) seem to be selling the newer CW models now (fx-83GT CW, fx-85GT CW, and fx-991CW). You can still get the older models on Amazon, etc., but I don't think they are still being manufactured.

studentcalculators.co.uk (Oxford Educational Supplies) have a stock of fx-991EX reserved for sale to UK schools only.

Manufactured, no. As a backup, hopefully Amazon or some other store/outlet has an overstock of 991EX models. As usual they're probably 991EX (hopefully not going for excessive prices) at TAS.

If you plan to make heavy use of the spreadsheet or statistics, go with the CW, as they've made a few key upgrades to these modes. For everyone else, stick with the EX, either buying old stock, or a used one, as nearly everything else can be done more efficiently on the old model.

5 pcs EX
or 5 pcs CEX (including Periodic Table, but Hungarian + 3 non-English language)
or 5 pcs DEX (same as EX, but better, but German only)
or 5 pcs Japan version of EX
