Third party 82240B like printer seen at HHC 2023
A few people had a third party 82240B like printer at HHC 2023. For the life of me I can't remember the manufacturer. I have been searching for the forum this afternoon and have seen posts wishing for such a device but no clear leads.

Was it the one discussed in this thread?

Edit: A perhaps relevant brochure.

It was similar to that but sleeker looking. Similar to this one I just found. Interestingly they are listing it as not available but have some of the HP 82240b in stock.

RE: Third party 82240B like printer seen at HHC 2023
That one looks a lot like the shape of the 82240. I wonder what’s inside? HP really pushed for third party adoption of the 82240 as an instrumentation/diagnostics printer, and had some success doing so. I wonder if they also may have OEMed the mechanism? Or maybe that’s a line printer mech, and they just echoed the HP styling cues to make customers comfortable.

The 82240’s moving print head is pretty reliable and battery efficient, but kinda slow and noisy. Modern line printer mechanisms are a lot nicer for daily use.
