HP48 vs HP50 solver
I am currently re-reading Bill Wickes HP48 Insights books. I noticed that the numerical solver of the HP50 seems to have been downgraded compared to the HP48. Example:
1. if 'EQ' contains a list of equations {EQ1, EQ2, EQ3, ...}, these can be loaded from the solver in both machines, but only in the HP48 can these equations be “switched through” in the solver. In HP50 apparently only EQ1 is considered. 2.the HP48 solver can be modified by adding lists, so {' EQ1' {“A” <<' expression'>>} {'B' <<' expression'>>}} generates the usual solver menu plus the additional softkeys A (white on black) and B (black on white), with which the corresponding expressions can be executed. The HP50 seems to simply ignore these additional lists. Is there any reason for this downgrade? |

RE: HP48 vs HP50 solver
Have you looked at the multiple equation solver in the Equation Library? (APPS, 12, 3)
You use the MINIT command to create the system variable MPar from EQ and then use MSOLVR to solve them. I don't have a link to a tutorial to hand but if you can't find something searching for HP50G and MPar then ask again and I'm sure someone will have something. |

HP50g ROM 2.15
Point 1 works as expected Point 2 fail with "bad argument value" error. It eventi fails on my 48gx |

RE: HP48 vs HP50 solver
For the HP50 solver, there is very good video.
How to Solve Any System of Equations with the HP-50G In this example(s) the equations are placed in an array ->array |
