RE: Barcode -> .raw file project ---- help requested
Ok, I have gone through every available location of which I am aware and that's it.

No more .raw files for the foreseeable future.

Appreciate the help from all involved to bring these to the community. Thank you thank you!

The CCDAPPS documentation should be done this weekend; I'll send it to Sylvain to integrate with the master when done. At this point it's mostly just working through the entire CCD Manual to pull useful ref notes for the sample programs. Angel's blueprints are a work of art, and makes this tedious task interesting and fun. In particlar since it's the last one. Wink

Well hopefully there may yet be two more .rom files from things previously sent to Angel. Some new games and some application programs not covered anywhere else in the 41CL world.

RE: Barcode -> .raw file project ---- help requested
Hello Angel,

There is 2 errors in the JARRETXF ROM
a) "DOW" program: GTO "DOW" gives NONEXISTENT but GTO "DBD" then GTO. 001 shows LBL "DOW"
b) "DOW" program: line 41 should be "[append] DAYS"

You can download the last version (20150315a) of the documentation HERE

The status of the documentation is ...
-PPC APPS done but missing input/output
-PPC APP2 done but missing input/output
WWDAPPS done but missing input/output
RAWFILES done but missing input/output (thanks Robert)
JARETTSP done but missing input/output
JARETTXF done but missing input/output
CCDAPPS in progress (Robert doing it)
MCCRNAK in progress
GERMAN1 to be done
GERMAN2 to be done

The second phase will be to fill up the missing input/output column and updating the description as needed.
As usual, any comments and/or corrections are welcome.

Best regards,

Sylvain

Update ...
I have been mostly off the grid for the past two weeks and will probably be the same this week.
I have decided to scan the HP-41 Advanced Programming Tips book before finishing the module documentation.
The book has ~350 pages and a third of it is done. I expect to finish scanning it this week end.
The resulting PDF will be sent to the hpmuseum.org and to TOS.

The book has been scanned and email sent to sites administrators.
I will now resume the MCCRNAK ROM documentation.

Thought I would share these stats from the 41CL memory reference. Look how many roms or revisions to existing roms have been made in each year.

2011 -- 39
2012 -- 47
2013 -- 62
2014 -- 51
2015 -- 39

I think that's an amazing accomplishment. Those are the year's as indicated in the memory reference.

Hello Angel,

Have you looked into the possible 2 errors of the JARRETXF ROM ?

a) "DOW" program: GTO "DOW" gives NONEXISTENT but GTO "DBD" then GTO. 001 shows LBL "DOW"
b) "DOW" program: line 41 should be "[append] DAYS"

I am currently finishing the MCCRNAK (HP-41 Advanced Programming Tips) ROM documentation.

One question: the FAT listing shows: XROM 16.08 CRM and IMHO it should be XTON.
Can you verify this please.

Best regards,

Sylvain

Hi Sylvain,

I have fixed b) above but have no idea of what's going on with a) !!

Yessir, you're right XROM 16.08 in the McCornack ROM was incorrectly done - I have fixed that one as well.

Best,
'AM

RE: Barcode -> .raw file project ---- help requested
Angel:

I've almost completed the CCDAPPS ROM docs, but have a couple questions or items I don't follow:

a) Where did the PR2 and PR3 programs come from, they are not in the CDD manual?

b) "CLAX" function at xA3B1 is not in the FAT

c) "XGTO" function at xA40D is not in the FAT

d) "CLKA" function at xA837 is included in the -CCD MANUAL section, but this function is not listed in the CCD manual

e) "TLDCD" function at xA8C0 is included in the -CCD MANUAL section, but this function is not listed in the CCD manual

f) "BSZ?" function at xAB43 is listed in the initial listing at the top of the blueprint as "BFSZ?" (Presume just a typo)

There is certainly no need to reorganize the ROM based on these issues, but can you explain why these are where they are, perhaps I'm not understanding something in the blueprint?

Thanks - documenting this stuff is tedious but your blueprints are quite interesting and make it very easy to follow the ROM structure.

Well, I found it and it is a newbie mistake ... ;-)
The DOW program conflict with the DOW time module function.
Can you please rename the DOW program to something else.

Yes they are... in the *German* version of the manual that is ;-)

Correct - the FAT was already full, so these are collateral victims of the situation, as lesser-useful ones.

Same dogs with different collars: CLKA is called "CLK" in the manual, and TLDCD is called "SK" (or similar)

You found a duplicate! both BS? at 0xA0BF and BFSZ? at 0xAB43 do exactly the same thing - it's time to get that fixed next...

Best,
ÁM

Ok good, all this makes sense then. Both PR2 and PR3 are short, I'll figure out what they do to come up with a short descriptionl. If the inputs are not obvious, please let me know what the manual says.

For the 2 items with dif names, were names changed to avoid collision with other existing functions?

After you emove the duplicate, is it worthwhile to add either CLAX or XGTO (or maybe another "hidden" function you prefer - I have not completed review of the bottom 1/3 of code yet, so others may be there I didn't see yet)?

Thanks Angel!
