Hi!
What are the difference in the fact, that some of us are "Junior", "Senior" or "Member"?
Is it only a question of time and who change this "title"?

It's only based on the number of posts a member has made. Some of us who simply type too much become member, then Senior and so on...

I was "Junior" (meaning that I don't know anything about calculators) until a few weeks ago when I became "Member". But I have many, many years to learn until I become "Senior", if ever ...

That said, I always found this "forum rank" based on a number of posts totally stupid.

I agree, a ridiculous system.

I suggest all present rankings being frozen & all new members remaining junior members forever.

Surely too harsh calling our junior members garrulous? Most of them never utter a syllable.

That would need a different measure: Rate. I was about to propose something similar: Members with a message rate of at least 1/d earn the Chatterbox rank. But then I noticed this thread had been placed in the Prime section, where high message flows are not uncommon for ... unknown reasons.

You can discuss a topic as daft as you like, the thing is everyone has an opinion.

Sadly the misnomer "the silent majority" is no misnomer... the majority really are very...quiet.

It would be refreshing to hear more opinions from various sources.
