48G won't turn on, any suggestions?
Everything looks good and clean outside. No corroded battery contacts.

I checked batteries with a multimeter. All good.

Tried pressing and twisting the unit a little, nothing works.

Suggestions? Thanks.

Try the old trick of pressing the ON key WHILE pressing down on the bezel just below the LCD and just above the B and C keys. It's amazing how many "dead" 48's can be turned on this way.

Yes that's exactly what I did.

I will try again, with more force...

Any other suggestions if this doesn't work? Last (very last) resort will be to... open it and see...

In my explorations of the general forum I do remember some posts talking about shorting contacts. So you may search this forum using Google ad hoc searches, maybe you get useful hints.
