Salvo RE: WANTED: FORTH/Assembler ROM for 71b - Paul Berger (Canada) - 01-30-2018 05:51 PM It would be possible to duplicate it but I don't think any of the existing ROM modules could be used. I have some HHP RAM/ROM modules they use a 1LJ4 chip to interface between the the industry standard memory and the Saturn bus. As near as I can tell this chip only supports soft configuration but there are pins on the chip that do not appear to be used in the modules I have, so I guess it is possible they could support hard addressed ROMs but without chip documentation it is hard to know. Are these front port ROM modules programmed through the Saturn bus connector or do you connect directly to the EPOM chip inside? The desired files are copied to the RAM in the programmer using the 71B. The 71 is turned off, then the Program button is pressed and the contents of the programmer RAM is burned into the EPROM. RE: WANTED: FORTH/Assembler ROM for 71b - salvomic - 02-02-2018 09:59 PM I think two modules I knew should be now sold. If sometime someone else should have another Forth a. one (not expensive for my bloodless wallet), please PM :-) Thanks in advance. The other option is always to find a FRAM71. Of course finding it for something approaching a reasonable price is probably harder than the Forth/Assembler ROM... Salvo RE: WANTED: FORTH/Assembler ROM for 71b - gspnz - 09-03-2018 11:43 AM Hello All, I see this thread is quite old now but I have some HP-71 ROMs that I would be willing to sell if any of you are still interested. Here's what I have: HP-71 41 Translator module HP-71 Forth Assembler module HP-71 Math module HP-71 Text Editor module HP-71 4K memory modules (HP82420A) (3 available) I also have an unused HP-71 in its original packaging that I might consider selling (it's one of two that I own and I'm trying to reduce the size of my collection). Please PM me with an offer for anything you may wish to buy. I'll consider any reasonable offer from a fellow collector. Regards, Gary |
