RE: Disassembly of HP-19C - Jonas Sandstedt - 04-15-2021 04:07 PM I have an ERSA 60 analogue solder station with interchangeable tips, but only own one tip that I have used now and then during the years. Normally, there is no problem soldering and de-soldering, but these “bad” joints will not melt. Perhaps a new tip of chisel type will do the trick? best regards Jonas RE: Disassembly of HP-19C - [kby] - 04-17-2021 01:41 AM Generally a larger tip (like chisel) seems to enable faster heat transfer in. However, if it doesn’t work, then you need to approach the problem in another way rather than holding on as long or significantly longer than with a pencil tip. Be sure you’re not just thinking the solder isn’t melting because the surface still looks intact but it’s melted underneath.-kby[/align] |
