That's how I got my 48GX so cheap - waited until the 50 came out. But that was another lifetime ago. Does it still work that way??

I thought I had seen some websites reducing the price from £139;to £83 already - though on closer inspection that's £83 +VAT, so not much cheaper yet - but I now have one.

First impressions: Despite all the documentation saying it can download from a PC, I find that with the right cable it can download from Android too (but Android will create podcast directories etc too).

The trickiest operation is creating a .py file on the PC/phone, rather than a podcast, but if you have one it will download.

I bet that this new CG model still can't compute, for example, cosh(2+3i).

We shall see.

Sorry, I don't know how to make the image smaller.
I got it from Casio's Twitter page, here: https://x.com/CasioEdTech

I used name=medium instead of name=large in the URL.
This was a wild guess but in general the size can be set in the image tag: [img=400x500]

When will we see it available for purchase?

If you are missing some function, you can write a small program. I expect the computing e^(a+b×i) will be available on the new model.
Having fx-CG50 and using FIX3: cosh(2+3i)=-3.725+0.512i
I created this program just for fun, learning and playing with colors and Locate command

I'm torn on this one. It's a great-looking calculator, and it's got the same style of keys as the fx-991CW (which are a joy to type on), but without Casio Basic, it's a tougher sell. Python is nice to have as an option, but it's generally not well integrated with built-in calculator features, and it's a language that involves a lot of typing that's not really optimized for a calculator keypad. So unless they've added some surprising new features to the spreadsheet, I'm not sure I'll be rushing right out to get one.

Has the manual been made available yet?

I doubt it. The calculator isn't set to release until "2025"

Which brings up the question, “Which functions can take complex arguments? Is the CG100 complex number support as extensive as the HP-15C and HP-42S?"

Thanks for the code. Does it work inside matrices too? Let's say we have a 4x4 matrix with hyberbolic functions with complex arguments, multiplied by a scalar vector. Can the CG50/CG100 (future) do this? As far as I know, the HP Prime is the only one that can.

edit: Confirmed by a Casio representative, the new CG100 will not natively support complex hyperbolic functions. Only exponential forms are supported as I expected.
