Using the plastic as a wedge (inserting it into the ribbon cable slot) then pulling out the cable. I vaguely remember getting some advice on this... Mystery solved - thanks! It looks like a tool that was fabricated by the previous repair person to ease the removal of the flat flex cable and was left inside by mistake. It looks exactly like the kind of 'tool' all the instructions describe for inserting into the flex cable to release the end. |
