It's not just me, it's a team of over 30 people involved in the calculator business. We are still working with the known HP people and have hired very competent people to take a place in the development team for Prime, but also for other models that we're looking at currently. Plus, we are less 'hampered by confidentiality clauses' maybe.Thank you very much for your answer. We are clearly at a crossroads. I sincerely hope that, thanks to your team, the future of this HP Prime is now assured. Also reassuring, if I understood your text correctly, that you are in contact with the historical team that created the HP-Prime. Where can I find the link to the Bug Tracking and Improvement Proposals site? Unless the private email solution is currently the encouraged method? There are a few of us here looking forward to the next firmware update! Come and visit us here as often as possible to share with us what is possible for you to share! Have a nice day ! Please make an HP 51g with the Enter key in the proper place and I will pay $150 for it. I have successively owned an HP-28s, an HP-48G then an HP-48GX a 49G finally an HP-50G… I, too, was quite disappointed in 2013 when I discovered the limitations of the HP RPL possibilities -Prime… The clear separation between the numeric part and CAS… But today, all that is only a distant memory. The speed of this small machine is really extra, the touch screen effectively compensates for certain shortcomings and makes the algebraic mode very pleasant ... Before asking for a 51G, I would especially like to see this HP-Prime evolve clearly, whose potential is enormous! - Soft-menus should be fully functional and configurable! And from which we could trigger small programs, and yes why not in RPL mode... Too many keystrokes during repetitive tasks like unit conversion management ... - But for "bigger" programs then no regrets to be able to forget the RPL and yes to the python language and HPPL! Provided you have a computer application, of course ... - An "adult; o)" version without this exam mode ... - An improved "feature plotting" application to place families of curves with one parameter: Code: F1(X)={a,b,c}*X^2+{d, e, f}*X+1 Code: a*X^2+d*X+1 - I created a small application based on "the application of plots of functions" and I would have liked to be able to add in the 2D graphics space, in the coordinate system of the plot, in a programmed way, small geometric elements ( circles, lines, (texts)…) persistent during zooming or translation operations based on touch functions… Ok this is not the right place to list these kinds of proposals ... I am waiting for the link to this "bug tracking site and suggestions for improvements" RE: Royal Consumer Info Products - Stevetuc - 11-23-2021 05:53 PM (11-22-2021 08:22 PM)KlaasKuperus Wrote:(11-21-2021 11:07 AM)dg1969 Wrote: Sir, It good to hear there will be a large dedicated team . Some effort needs to be made to raise the profile of the Prime. This list of top graphing calculators for 2021 does not even feature it .. https://abovehouse.com/best-graphing-calculators/ Numworks gets a mention as "changing the graphing calculator game. Unlike the older looking, clunky, dull models that dominate testing centers, Numworks has come out with a sleek, light, ultra-fast calculator with an eye-pleasing color display." The TI-89 Titanium is listed as "best graphing calc for electrical engineering, mechanical engineer, physics, and AP physics." And is commended for its massive memory of 2.7MB. Klaas, the last post in this thread was 11-23-2021. What is the current situation now that we are at the end of April 2022? I am not seeing encouraging information on either of the respective websites. For example... 1. ROYAL SITE: No Buy Button, but instead shows "Notify When Available" and doesn't even mention if it is the G2 version: https://hpofficesupply.com/product/hp-prime-graphing-calculator/ 2. MORAVIA SITE: Shows that it's G2, but there's no BUY button that I can see: https://hpcalcs.com/product/hp-prime-graphing-calculator/ Because it has been 5 months since the announcement, I would have hoped to have seen some encouraging signs that things were progressing. I therefore look forward to hearing your remarks on what I just mentioned. Dear James, I am sorry for my delayed answer. We have been working for the past 7 months on the transition. We finally have the final version of HP calculators that can be shared. You can find the photos of the updated version here: https://cspmoraviabrno-my.sharepoint.com...Q?e=ZCK7eb There were also a couple of changes made to the packaging: 1) There is only one international version for each model 2) One Quick Start Guide with languages 3) Updated Insert Card 4) CD was removed 5) Serial number was removed and will not be tracked 5) Legal Sheet was removed and the content was added as a part of the Quick Start Guide All the changes can be viewed here: https://cspmoraviabrno-my.sharepoint.com...w?e=ggvDjY The new version is not available and will be available in the following months. If you want to purchase one of the HP calculators, I can forward you to one of our/ Royal's distributors. In case of any more questions, please, let me know! All the same, thanks for sharing these resources, and status. We continue to look forward to news, status and the revised products. Question: While I can understand eliminating the serial numbers as a cost-saving measure, how will the Licensees be able to determine if a defective device is within its warranty/support window? RE: Royal Consumer Info Products - ndzied1 - 04-20-2022 10:01 PM It looks like the link might not have pasted properly. There is 'w?e=ggvDjY' shown but it is not part of the link. I think it got broken when pasted. If you look closely at a Prime G2 you'll see the name "Hewlett Packard" does not appear anywhere, and the battery door already has a screw, so there's no need to change the Prime design. As far as I know, yes, however without any official HP Licensee site to buy it from, it's impossible to say what the 'official' position is. It does does remain available in places like BestBuy, Staples, Amazon, etc. so I'd guess that yes it is in general. Also, it seems unlikely Moravia would be working on fixes, etc. if there were no plans to continue sales.
