The MacOS apps are packages with a lot of files and subfolders, just use Show Packet Content in Finder contestual menu (left click on the .app file).

The HP Prime firmware folder is inside the HP Connectivity Kit subfolder in the user Documents folder so copy new firmware inside it and the HP CK app will find it automatically.

It's been more than a week or two with no release yet. When can we expect the final release of version 2.2? I’ve been holding off on installing the beta, but if the final version is still some time away, is the current beta stable enough for regular use?

Supposedly, the final will be out before the start of the school year (NOW! in some places) It's more stable than the previous shipping version (for me, anyway), especially with python programs so if you install it, you won't be sorry.

I just updated mine, and while I’m not sure how easy the process is on PCs, it was straightforward on macOS. I simply unzipped the download, renamed the folder to "PrimeG2," and replaced the existing PrimeG2 folder in the firmware directory. After that, I performed the update. The process was simple, though once installed, it does display "BETA" in the top left corner of the screen.

The process is pretty much the same on a Windows PC. I've done it on both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The "BETA" in the corner is a sensible precaution IMO. It reminds people that they're potentially using something that's still liable to change between then and the final, public release. It also shows you a screenful of disclaimer the first time it boots after an update.

Huh? There's only one file you need for G1 and one for G2. If you only have one calculator, you only need to download one file.

I've since found the relevant file(s) as I said in an edit to my previous post.

The page linked to in the post I was replying to directed the viewer to other pages where each of the files contained in the relevant .zip files from HP was linked to individually.

Is it possible to downgrade back to the current release after installing the beta.

The quickest solution is likely to be to buy an old Android phone (Android 8), specifically for running the old App.

En exécutant le logiciel de connectivité ce soir pour sauvegarder mon travail, celui-ci m'a proposé de télécharger la mise à jour du 01_09_2024 pour G1 et G2.
J'ai accepté et chargé celle-ci puis fais la mise à jour de ma G2 (version 15147) et le BETA en haut à gauche a disparu.

When I ran the connectivity software this evening to save my work, it suggested that I download the 01_09_2024 update for G1 and G2. I accepted and loaded it, then updated my G2 (version 15147) and the BETA in the top left-hand corner disappeared.
