It's funny... They took a really crappy $6 US calculator out of Red China and either hacked or gutted it (likely the latter) to make it into a $US 150 cheater calc.

After all, the original donor machine is in fact a Casio fx-82MS with another label slapped on it.
They probably don't care as long as they're being paid for the OEM boards...

Ah.... Reading their user guide, where a cheating example question concerning noble gases, they write the answer as something about a periodic table and a group of funny symbols, I think this is plain wrong.
I remember from my school old days that everybody said that a noble gas was a king's fart.
Sorry, couldn't resist. But that's an old joke from my school times in the early 70's that was very popular among us, young kids.

Technological wise... the "searching" feature looks pretty impressive.
However, screw it, why they haven't got sued by the test communities. I've checked the "4 Best Wat To Chating in Any Exams" video listed beside, whose content is even more explicit. A middle finger to all those hardworking students.
Cheating with electronic gadgets is also a huge issue here in China, some even modified their tragus to fit in a small receiver. Cheating and assisting cheating has been written into the national Criminal Law to prevent this sort of thing from happening.

Real sad thing is that, you are discussing about "scrap" calculators, but the functionality of HPs do not upgraded since 80's.
I am an engineer and I am working in power plant industry. I really like my HPs, BUT: why do not produce HP again famous equipments like 15C with integrated more functionality?!?
I want a calculator like 15C with sensors: If I want to measure the inclination of an air slide I must to use my phone with a 3rd party software. But after than the measured data I must to type into my calculator.
If I want to calculate some data of conveyed air with fans and compressors I must to use thermometer, barometer and a humudity meter separately. Why?
And what about stopwatch? I measure time and measure something. I want to type only that another property into my calculator, the stopwatch data must to store automatically.
Put these things into a small calculator.

That would be a remarkably elaborate hoax. They're selling this thing on eBay, with nothing but positive reviews, and I can see the companion RXO Chat app in the iTunes app store...

I wonder if he'd work on getting the Prime's wireless dongle to work on standard WiFi. I have no idea if it's doable but maybe I'll ask him. The ability to upgrade the Prime directly from the Web or print to a WiFi-enabled network printer would be a great help to me. In fact, I'd pay twice the current price of a new Prime for those capabilities.
