USB power supply for 41CL V5 - Podalirius - 09-26-2018 02:14 PM

Hi, I need to connect my 41CL, V5, to a power supply that is continous,
because I use the pyILBOX for long time sessions.
In the CLONIX-41 site I found the USB Power scheme and
I found a vendor of void ROM modules but without connectors.
Can somebody give me some suggestions on how to find
empty ROM modules with good connectors or instructions on
how to open a ROM module?
Thank you very much for all helps!!!

I might be wrong, but my assumption is that the cheapest way to get what you want would be to buy a HP82106A Memory Module and dissect it. I think that is actually what Diego Diaz uses for his very fine Clonix, Nov64, and USB-41 series of modules.

These single memory modules are pretty cheap and plentiful because they are only usable in the HP41C, not the CV or the CX which already have their full complement of main (regular) memory. Even HP41C owners will probably prefer to use a Quad Memory Module (HP82170A) which essentially packs 4 of the HP82106A into a single port, leaving the others open.

So, I would say to find a HP82106A for sale on an auction site and you should be good to go. I believe they can be cut carefully apart at their seams, but have not tried it myself.
