Quick reference query app - eried - 04-22-2014 09:11 PM The help in the Prime is an indispensable addition to allow users to use the Prime calculator and it is quite complete but the search is so clunky and the tree is a pain to navigate then I just made a very simple app to quickly search the help already available as spreadsheet: Download alpha (reference from 2014-05): http://cl.ly/2O410M0Z2k2q (it might contain invalid chars) Download (reference from 2013-11): http://servicios.ried.cl/primecomm/PrimeHelp.zip (src) This will be bundled inside PrimeComm (and available from start menu soon) but you might find it useful to have a very quick reference while you are in the pc while isn't bundled in the other app. RE: Quick reference query app - Joe Horn - 04-25-2014 10:11 AM Thanks, Erwin! Very helpful! RE: Quick reference query app - Mic - 04-25-2014 12:24 PM Good work ! RE: Quick reference query app - Thomas_Sch - 04-25-2014 03:46 PM Many thanks, very fine app! Thomas RE: Quick reference query app - eried - 04-29-2014 07:10 PM Nice that you liked the little app, now it's included in PrimeComm as a singleton app. Just press ALTGR + . (global shortcut) or F1 inside PrimePad RE: Quick reference query app - Joe Horn - 05-03-2014 08:36 AM (04-29-2014 07:10 PM)eried Wrote: Nice that you liked the little app, now it's included in PrimeComm as a singleton app. Just press ALTGR + . (global shortcut) or F1 inside PrimePad Just a quick note for those of us who do not have an AltGr key: AltGr is the same as Ctrl+Alt. So when you're running PrimeComm, if F1 doesn't bring up the help app (it usually does), just press [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[.] or use the Help menu. Thanks again, Irwin! PrimeComm is pure awesomeness. RE: Quick reference query app - eried - 05-03-2014 09:56 AM No ALT-GR? :O and how do you enter extended ascii codes? (I was working recently with an aussie thru teamviewer and I told him to enter the degrees symbol ยบ and his keyboard didn't had that! so it seems the spanish keyboard layout was so sweetly designed for coding, all the braces, accents for SQL vars, etc ) PS: f1 is handled by the app menu, and altgr+. is handled by windows (not a service or something dirty wasting system resources, just a normal explorer shortcut) RE: Quick reference query app - eried - 05-28-2014 01:10 AM I added the new help reference to the app in the first message. I marked it as alpha because I have yet to fix the special unicode chars. Comparing old firmware Help vs new 2013-11_vs_2014-05 Download the comparison (most of the changes are quite small): http://cl.ly/3W3V0j0j1z1g Old reference files: http://cl.ly/VkFT New files: http://cl.ly/Vl14 RE: Quick reference query app - Terje Vallestad - 05-28-2014 02:34 PM Here is a pdf version of Erwin's extract that I find easier to view and search on tablets etc. Slightly tidied up so refer to the calculator original to check if anything seems out of order.
