HP 50g "Split Screen" - joeres - 10-21-2018 09:10 AM Hello, the HP 40gs has the nice feature "Plot-Table" to display a plot along with the values table on one screen: Both parts are also synchronized, if you use the cursor keys to select another position in the plot, the corresponding entry in the table is automatically selected (and vice versa). You can also select values outside the current display. There is an automatic change of the window parameters: Such this "Split Screen" I have not found for the 50g. Is there perhaps a hidden function for this? Or could this be done with a User RPL program? Thanks and best regards Joerg RE: HP 50g "Split Screen" - cyrille de brébisson - 10-22-2018 05:28 AM Hello, Nope, there is no split screen in the 50g... It is in the 40 because it came about as a "education" feature and the 38 series is an "education" calculator. However, the feature was never back-ported to the 49/50 series... HP Prime has it of course... Cyrille RE: HP 50g "Split Screen" - Thomas Klemm - 10-22-2018 09:32 AM (10-22-2018 05:28 AM)cyrille de brébisson Wrote: HP Prime has it of course... Of course, it goes along the 38/39/40 line, with the 39gii as its closest relative. RE: HP 50g "Split Screen" - SammysHP - 10-22-2018 12:21 PM Although this is not available natively, a program for this would be fantastic indeed. As a workaround you can trace the graph and put points onto the stack AFAIK. Another feature I really miss is moving the viewport dynamically while tracing. RE: HP 50g "Split Screen" - joeres - 10-23-2018 04:24 PM ... Thanks all for the answers. Yes me too, I have found the program "Plot 49" (https://www.hpcalc.org/details/3133). It's a little bit slow, but it can move the viewport dynamically. Maybe it helps. Thanks all for the answers. maybe I did not fully understand what "plot49" does, but if while viewing a chart and setting the area larger than 131x80, you can press left-shift and left-arrow to scroll the screen with ease. |
