Sold: Sharp PC-2500 - HP-Collection - 12-20-2018 02:35 PM Found this in a local store. Unfortuantelly I didn't find the power supply. The unit is very clean. I opened it and removed the corroded battery. The wires I took to the outside to power with my universal power supply. As you can see, the unit powers up and all keys seem to work, as well as the transporter of the printer paper and the multicolor stylus karusell. Is someone willing to spend some money brefore I put it on the bay? Sorry, but on the bay there is only one unit (without picture). I do not know a reasonable price, don't ask me - make offers..... RE: Sharp PC-2500 - Zaphod - 12-21-2018 10:12 AM I just wanted to say that is in incredible condition for the age (c.1985) From what I just googled it didn't have any market success at all.... but its rarity value and condition should keep the price up. RE: Sharp PC-2500 - fy789 - 12-22-2018 05:16 AM The Sharp PC-2500 pops up on EBAY fairly common and it is a combo of Sharp PC-1350 plus a CE-140P plotter in a portable computer package. I sold one 2 years ago in about the same condition for like USD150 on EBAY. A 1350 is a very typical looking Sharp Pocket Computer, and looks nothing l like this. Take a look here to see most of the Sharp Pocket Computers, and to confirm the 2500 is not some bundle of other models: http://sharppocketcomputers.com/ RE: Sharp PC-2500 - Sylvain Cote - 12-22-2018 03:19 PM After reading both service manuals, they are externally different and except for memory cards, they do not share the same peripherals. Internally, it is obvious that the PC-2500 is based on the PC-1350, they share the same core components, same memory maps, same BASIC ROM, the PC2500 has an extra 32KB ROM that they seems to bank switch with the BASIC ROM (same logical address). Yes, they share the same ESR-H CPU (believe it or not, that stands for Electronic Slide Rule; I worked with the guy in Sharp that named it), LCD and general internal architecture, but the 2500 was packaged totally differently. The mentioned CE-140P was a printer that let a 1350 (and 1360, etc.) dock on the printer base, and the total 2500 size was about 1/3 larger, to accommodate a 'near full sized' keyboard. The 2500 was sold through VAR channels with custom ROMs, though I believe only Japanese custom ROMs were used, possibly some in Europe as well. RE: Sharp PC-2500 - fy789 - 12-23-2018 07:24 AM The PC-2500 is a re-packaged version of PC-1350 with CE-140P plotter. The larger keys and the larger form factor do not make it a new computer. I owned it before and I can assure you that is the case (12-22-2018 02:17 PM)rprosperi Wrote:(12-22-2018 05:16 AM)fy789 Wrote: The Sharp PC-2500 pops up on EBAY fairly common and RE: Sharp PC-2500 - HP-Collection - 12-26-2018 06:31 PM Item is sold and has found a (hopefully) satisfied new owner.
