Hi all,
for the first time I inserted a SD-card into my HP-50G and copied some programs to it. While doing so I noticed that it took several attempts to turn the calculator on by pressing the On-key. As soon as I removed the SD-card this phenomenon was gone and the HP-50G turned on at the first press of the ON-key.
Is this a known problem or is this something specific to my machine?

It's best to use a low-capacity SD card of no more than 2 GB and format it as FAT16 (not FAT32).

Nothing wrong with your machine. Mounting the SD card when you turn it on takes some time, actually proportional to the number of clusters on the SD card. This thread has all the information you need.
