Columbia University Computing History - pier4r - 02-05-2020 09:26 AM I find it very nice, see the article about Comrie for example. http://www.columbia.edu/cu/computinghistory/index.html Small info about me. Yes I am not that active in the forum, I really long to have the tranquillity to participate again but unfortunately the last period (6 months or so) was quite stressful and no improvements are on the horizon. I really hope that in the meanwhile nice discussions are happening, as I will read them in the future (hopefully). Also if possible do not forget to conserve stuff/do recreational math, see the p2p collections. About those, my torrent client somehow misconfigured itself, I need to fix it otherwise I cannot contribute via torrent (only via ed2k). And then I'll need to update all those threads, at least the core ones: list challenges, benchmarks, used calculators, RPL code snippets. (of course some are on the wiki thus other people can work on them as well) Have a nice day and see you then RE: Columbia University Computing History - mfleming - 02-05-2020 04:51 PM Excellent web site, thanks for the link! The HUMOR link certainly shows that spam is not a recent phenomenon. All the best. RE: Columbia University Computing History - StephenG1CMZ - 02-05-2020 10:24 PM It was amusing that http://www.columbia.edu/cu/computinghistory/index.html list an IBM personal computer in 1948. It's not a typo for the IBM PC AT in 1984 RE: Columbia University Computing History - Don Shepherd - 02-05-2020 11:21 PM (02-05-2020 10:24 PM)StephenG1CMZ Wrote: It was amusing that http://www.columbia.edu/cu/computinghistory/index.htm list an IBM personal computer in 1948. you need an L after htm in your link RE: Columbia University Computing History - StephenG1CMZ - 02-06-2020 12:26 AM (02-05-2020 11:21 PM)Don Shepherd Wrote:(02-05-2020 10:24 PM)StephenG1CMZ Wrote: It was amusing that http://www.columbia.edu/cu/computinghistory/index.htm list an IBM personal computer in 1948.
