Quadratic Equation on HP 41's. - ggauny@live.fr - 05-22-2020 05:02 PM Hi, I wonder if exist a way to obtain this on my 41's and, of course, DM41L, X. Assume we resolve 9x2+0x-62 : Hp 41 says : x1 = 2.62 x2 = - 2.62 That is correct, but I would prefering see : SQRT(62)/3 - SQRT(62)/3 I canot write the mathematical symbol of the sqrt, (V-). Well hense is exist a to do this ? Best. RE: Quadratic Equation on HP 41's. - grsbanks - 05-22-2020 06:55 PM This forum "understands" MathJax, so you certainly can write something like \(\frac{\sqrt{62}}3\) and \(-\frac{\sqrt{62}}3\) To see that result you'd need a machine that has an "exact" mode such as the HP48G or the Prime. The HP-41C and therefore the DM41 is a numerical-only machine.
