Hi all. Since continuous memory was possible for the HP-25C and HP-29C, why wasn’t either the SR-52 or TI-59 featured with Constant Memory?

The SR-52 was about 2 (important for CMOS) years earlier, while the 59 had mag cards so it was less essential.
The 58, which had no card reader, added a "C" almost 3 years after the 25C, and in fact after the 25C was discontinued.
For consumer products, pretty safe to say HP mastered CMOS productiom well ahead of TI.

TI didn't feel the 52 or 59 needed it since they had the card reader. OTOH, the 58 had no card reader so the user would have to rekey any programs by hand if there was no continuous memory.

Yes. I had the 58C in my collection.
