DM-4xx Feature Wish List - Craig Bladow - 07-20-2020 01:47 AM As I sat in a darkening room this evening and picked up my DM-41X to do some calculations I realized that a back light would be really nice to have. I also would like to have GPS built in to automatically set the time and provide position information. So this all exists for Woodstock calculators (LED instead of back light) if you get the replacement circuits from Panamatik, but with respect to the DM-4xx calculators these would be really nice additions. What other features would be on your wish list? RE: DM-4xx Feature Wish List - HP67 - 07-20-2020 07:10 PM For me the most important feature is that the final edition would be available. I keep checking the swissmicros site but I don't find anything at all. I agree backlight would be super, did you mean only the display or also the keyboard? Double-shot keys would make the keyboard light possible. I don't know what batteries the DM-41X will use. If coin cells then backlighting is probably unlikely. Keyboard hardware is a problem on the preview versions? This sounds disturbing. RE: DM-4xx Feature Wish List - Craig Bladow - 07-20-2020 11:00 PM Backlit keys and shift legends would be awesome! RE: DM-4xx Feature Wish List - Massimo Gnerucci - 07-21-2020 05:38 AM With a Li-po battery maybe, with a CR2032 no way. COVID-19 vaccine RE: DM-4xx Feature Wish List - twoweims - 07-23-2020 12:46 AM I would like a DM-71BX with HP-IL module built in. (I am just being a smart-ass...) A DM-71BX with a USB port that does HP-IL emulation over TCP/IP that worked with pyILPER would get a ridiculous amount of money from me. :/ I don't program my HP-71B nearly as often as I should, but it's on my desk and gets almost as much use as my DM-42. Hi, Perhaps it is utopian to demand such a thing, but given the capabilities of the DM-41X which has so many modules in memory, could we benefit from an HP67 compatibility mode (which already existed by the HP41C card reader) but also a full HP15C compatibility mode? !!! I would love to see the DM-41X get USB HP-IL Emulation that would work with ILPer. A DM-71BX Would be icing on that cake, for sure. I would spend a ridiculous amount of money on that as well. Real HP-71Bs in good condition with all the parts seem to be made of unobtanium. EMU 71 is probably as close as I will ever get to the real thing.
