Maybe failed repair job and a hasty re-assemble, in a who cares it doesn't work frame of mind.

It looks like it has had a hard life, corroded screws and charge connector probably means the insides aren't that good. The back and HP-80 labels could have have been off for quite awhile, but the silver trim looks fresh.

I wouldn't mind the battery cover though :-)

Based on genealogical records of August Dvorak, and tracing their roots back to Albania, I conclude that this calculator is actually the long-lost early prototype of the Dvorak Keyboard for Calculators!! Smile
