Why are POLY* functions unusable when CAS is disabled? - pinkman - 10-24-2020 09:57 PM Hi, As mentioned by Amrlxy19 in another thread (here), when CAS is disabled in exam mode, the numerical functions POLYROOT, POLYEVAL and POLYCOEF are also unusable, they return “syntax error”. Are these functions based on CAS or is it to be considered as a bug? Regards, Thibault RE: Why are POLY* functions unusable when CAS is disabled? - Aries - 10-25-2020 07:42 AM I'm not sure but I think they're CAS based. Disabling CX II CAS, polyRoots and polyEval are active while other commands (polyCoeffs, polyGcd, polyRemainder, etc.) are disabled. Best, Aries RE: Why are POLY* functions unusable when CAS is disabled? - pinkman - 10-25-2020 07:45 AM Thanks. Bernard confirmed on the thread mentioned above. RE: Why are POLY* functions unusable when CAS is disabled? - Aries - 10-25-2020 10:13 AM You're welcome … that's all right then Aries |
