how to make cf cards 32mb work on hp 95lx - MakinaXT - 11-14-2020 08:41 AM so I bought these CF cards and pcmcia adapter on atached photos. and [attachment=8871][attachment=8872] then checked CF card using fdisk in linux and it has fat12 and when inserted a empty folder window opened so I thought i was ready to use it on the 95lx but when inserting the card with adapter the screen turned very faded and minutes later only a black line was showing on the screen, the card was hotter too, then when I removed the card and adapter the screen came normal again. What am i missing? was it cause I didn't install the drivers for cf? RE: how to make cf cards 32mb work on hp 95lx - Guenter Schink - 11-14-2020 07:28 PM Originally the 95Lx would accept only SRAM-Cards. "Sundisk" before it became "SanDisk" had PCMCIA Flash-cards on offer with a specific driver that would work only with these "Sundisk" cards. Someone has tweaked the driver so it doesn't look for the identification-string. Check this site and look for the two entries "Sundisk ATA Flash Card driver". Hope this helps and good luck. Günter |
