Percentage of Total - Gamo - 03-21-2021 05:58 AM

This video clip shown how to calculate percentage of total

using Casio MS-20UC and most basic calculator like Casio fx-260

Video Clip: https://youtu.be/gKb9-ta2Dek

Remark:

The clip shown steps which is the long way of repeating the constant division with repeat
the total amount in memory.

The Konstant (k) feature keep the Total Amount and constant which in this case is the division.
So the right way of doing this faster ways as follow.

1. Total all the number in the list.
2. Press Divide twice (the letter k display)
3. Pick one of the number in the list then press Percent (Answer from one of the number in the list)
4. Pick another number in the list then press Percent ( Next answer from the number in the list)
5. Continue steps 4 (Do all the numbers in the list)

Love the constant functionality on the old Casio's, and the old method of handling percentages. Unfortunately newer calculators like the fx-991EX haved dumbed down the percentage operations so that it is basically *0.01 now.

Not sure if you did the video, but I guess it was just to demonstrate the long way, while in the comments of the video and your post you show the more efficient way of calculating the percentages.

In any case, thanks for sharing!
