Question: How to set it so results display nicely like textbook - Lain - 09-23-2021 01:05 AM

Question: How to set it so
small numbers display as 135.79 and
large numbers display as 1.357e20 and
never display things like 3*sqrt(5) and
when result is a whole number, just say 15. instead of 15.000e0

Thank you!

In Home Settings, page 1, set the Number Format to Standard, and on page 2, turn off the Intelligent Math option (it only exists in more recent firmware versions). Then stay in Home view.

Although CAS view is intended for exact math and symbolic math, you can force it to return numeric approximations in CAS Settings, page 1, uncheck the "Exact" setting.
