I built an overlay just like I did for the HP-41C: print on photo paper, cut with a laser and spray some varnish.
It is much more difficult to install and remove and need to be very thin but the result is ok.
In real life, I hardly see the difference with the original keyboard engraving.

Very nice! What weight photo paper did you need to use to get it thin enough?

Epson Heavy Matte 167g. For the 41C, I can use 300g or more but they are too thick for the DM41x.

I do not have a lot of time to build many of them but I could to help.
The issue is the design: I used Adobe Illustrator to draw it and you would need at least a svg editor to send me what you want.

Really well done Pascal, it looks excellent, not visible at all as a replacement style. I imagine there are a number of 43S testers who will be contacting you soon to buy one or two, so you'd better start thinking about pricing, lol.
