I’m adopting a new calculator! - Matt Agajanian - 11-22-2022 12:22 AM

Just ordered a TI-30X Pro Mathprint.

It’s coming in December. I would’ve ordered the November 30th option, but the shipping jacked up the price to $61.30. For a graphing or programmable calculator, $61.30 would be reasonable for just the calc itself. I couldn't justify that price for this one or a Casio or Sharp of the same type. Since I can justify $45.20 (total which includes shipping), I can wait 'til mid December to get this one.

Good choice!

Thanks!

Just noticed a wee detail.

The 7 key has the dash through it. Definitely, a reminder this is a UK model. Cool!

Neat! Never noticed the dash through the 7 on mine!

That's much more common in continental Europe than in the UK.

Funny, I've lived in the U.S. all my life, and have written my seven's this way since high school.

Also write my Zeds with the little dash through the middle to distinguish them from 2's.

I've more or less broken my habit of slashing my zeroes.

Hm. These behaviors may reveal a history of studying computer science from an early age, and having some mentors who had travelled... ???
