Casio fx-570EX vs 991EX - Matt Agajanian - 11-26-2022 03:04 AM

Hi all.

One of the confusions regarding Casios is that some of the manuals are written for two (I’m thinking) identical models. So, this begs the question: What are the differences between the latest editions of the 570EX and 991EX?

Thanks

Other than the countries they are sold in, the only difference I can see is that the fx-991EX is powered by solar cells and one LR44 battery while the fx-570EX is powered only by a single AAA battery (no solar cells). This also changes the dimensions slightly. See the specifications on page 42 of the manual.

Yeah. I figured the Auto Club (yeah, the AAA batteries) would thicken the calc and I noticed the solar option vanished. I didn’t suspect that the country of availability would be another factor. That didn’t even cross my mind. Interesting.
