Function App/Signed Area and roots/intersections - mcjtom - 08-09-2014 11:38 AM To find an area under e.g. the curve of Y=(x-2)^2-2, I need to find 2 roots first, then enter their X-values as boundaries of the integration performed by Signed Area function. It's common to have the lower and upper limits of the integration as some calculated values (e.g. roots, extrema). The example above requires to calculate two roots first (then recall the "root" variable and save it in some other permanent variable twice), then use them as limits to Signed Area. It could be easier... RE: Function App/Signed Area and roots/intersections - lrdheat - 08-11-2014 11:55 PM I would also like to, under the function soft key in the function graphing app, an option to display "x" given a "y" value. |
