Thanks for any help RE: HP-12C serial number check - Steve Simpkin - 03-10-2023 02:24 AM According to the following site: https://serial-number-decoder.com/hp-calculator/hp-calculator.htm This HP calculator was made in China during week 37 of 2007 or 2017 RE: HP-12C serial number check - HP-12C - 03-10-2023 02:33 AM Hi Steve Thank you for the link, I was not aware of that website. I would assume 2017, since in 2007 I think it would have been made in China. RE: HP-12C serial number check - HP-12C - 03-10-2023 04:57 AM I did think that a China made unit should always start with a CN serial number, e.g: CN40800888 HP's own warranty check site - striegel - 03-13-2023 07:30 PM There is a web site that will tell you the warranty date for HP products, although sometimes knowing just the serial number is not enough. In that case, you also need a product number, which isn't always obvious. https://support.hp.com/us-en/check-warranty In this particular case, I was able to find that this HP 12C was provided with its factory warranty starting 2017-09-19. I had to know a likely "Product" number for this was F2230A. |
