41 battery retention, black phosphate spring - TallKey - 04-03-2023 08:01 PM

Have a battery holder, the retention springs have failed.

Solution does not have to be perfect.

Looking for "this is what I did to replace the broken/missing battery retention springs."

I've seen several battery packs rebuilt with the "soft" half of velcro tape stuck where the black retention springs used to be. Small strip on the inner surface.. pretty cheap fix as you only need a modest coefficient of static friction.

Battery retention springs have failed = No springs present.

The adhesive velcro loop material may work. Thanks.

Allen's suggestion to use velcro definitely works well, this technique goes back to the 80's, though this solution doesn't 'feel' right, not being original. Sometimes being a collector combined with being this anal is a burden...
