New toy - cheap! - Brad Barton - 10-10-2023 03:47 AM Kicking around central Florida because of the HCC conference, and my wife asks to stop at a Goodwill she spotted when traveling through Lake Nona. Imagine my surprise when it pays off with a new addition to the collection. It was in a baggie with other office supplies like pocket notebooks and staples. It's only a 12C, but I haven't found an HP in the wild for a long time. In my experience once the low battery indicator shows up, you only have a year or two to change the batteries before they are completely dead RE: New toy - cheap! - Brad Barton - 10-12-2023 03:13 AM (10-10-2023 07:48 PM)Mike T. RE: New toy - cheap! - HP-12C - 10-12-2023 04:38 AM Looks like it has only had light use and wear, nice find! Here in Australia at the charity and OP shops I only ever find TI BAII's in the $5 sections, have never found any vintage HP's. Have you really no idea what that little calc can do ? Have a look at these PDF articles to find out for yourself:
Tried and Tricky Trigonometrics, (10-page article, fits all 6 trigonometric functions accurately in a single program) HP-12C Serendipitous Solver, (8-page article, finds roots of, and evaluates, Nth-degree polynomials quickly and accurately) Congratulations on your new "toy". Enjoy ! V. |
