HP48-50G: z=(x,y) converted to r×exp(i×theta) - Gil - 12-26-2023 02:15 PM I think that I saw once how to get the complex input (x,y) appearing as 'r×exp(i×theta)', but without using a program such as \<< -112 SF OBJ\-> DUP2 SQ SWAP SQ + \v/ UNROT SWAP / ATAN 'i' * e SWAP ^ * \>> (just by setting up options or flags?). Thanks for your help. RE: HP48-50G: z=(x,y) converted to r×exp(i×theta) - Gil - 12-26-2023 03:17 PM Solution in https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-16466.html?highlight=Complex+number Select POLAR & EXACT mode. Write (4,5} in form '4+5*i' EXPAND command But does not work for real a & b like in '4.2+5.1*i'. To work with the above, the argument has to be entered as '42/10+51/10*i'. |
