New User - Interval not Identified - DarthOdor - 01-01-2024 10:23 PM

I'm new to learning this PRIME. x^2 - 2x -8 <-0
-2<_ X<_4
The graph should show the inside of the parabola at/below the x-axis shaded. Instead, I only see the inside of the entire parabola as shaded. What I don't get, is that on the Toshiba, I could change f(x)= into f(x)<_ and the graph would be correct. I don't find a method that correctly graphs the interval on the prime. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Try the Advanced Graphing app. Chapter 8 of the HP Prime User Guide describes how to use it.

TY for your thoughts. The chapter did not illuminate an answer to graphing my example inequality correctly.

Thank you Roadrunner. That was helpful since I'm not used to using Boolean operations on a calculator, I just hadn't thought of using them.
Tonight, I also used two equations with the AND operator.
Great, and thanks again.
