HP 3468A Rechargeable Battery Pack - Johnboy - 01-30-2024 04:00 AM Hi All, My battery pack needs rebuilding, but before I take it apart, I was wondering if anyone here has rebuilt one before ? and any tips/tricks to share. I am especially interested to know the voltage / mAh specs, and maybe even what cells are used, like Sub-C cells etc ? Any help ? Thanks John RE: HP 3468A Rechargeable Battery Pack - Dave Frederickson - 01-30-2024 11:23 PM Rebuild? The 3468 uses a block type lead acid battery like the 9114 and 3421. The Service Manual says that the battery is 6V, 3AH for which a Power Sonic PS-628 at 6V, 2.8AH is pretty close. How's your CAL RAM battery? A CAL RAM backup procedure can be found here: https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-8061.html RE: HP 3468A Rechargeable Battery Pack - Johnboy - 01-31-2024 01:35 AM Excellent information Dave, much appreciated ! it looks like the 2.8Ah 6V SLA batteries are getting harder to obtain, but the seemingly more common 4.5Ah is slightly bigger, so I'll check the available space before purchasing. Interesting info on the calibration battery backup as well, I will read that with great curiosity ! and I may ask more question on that too !. Cheers, John |
