HP-67 Card Reader - knife31 - 02-17-2024 12:04 AM

Is anyone still repairing the card reader in the HP-67?
Randy

If you were down here in Oz, I'd have a look at it for you, otherwise there should be someone around who can help. Maybe even talk you through doing it yourself.

cheers

Tony

Hi Randy,
there is a seller on eBay who offers HP67 cardreader repair in US.
What are your technical skills? There is a chance to get it repaired yourself with a little help of this forum. This is in most cases not a rocket science. :-)

I'm working on my 67 card reader right now. So far it's been pretty easy. Lifting the corners of the label was not a problem. "Gummy wheel" was shot as photo shows. Working on the new O-rings now. Have everything cleaned up ready to re-assemble. Motor sounded bad, but after cleaning and lubricating it runs like a swiss watch and quiet as a mouse. I'll let you know how it turns out.
