Battery door for HP-19C? - John Ioannidis - 04-04-2024 02:23 AM

I recently scored an HP-19C, but it came with a poorly-fitting 3d-printed battery door (documented by the seller, no complaints, but I still want to replace it with something better!)

Before I go ahead and model my own, has anyone else designed one already that I can 3D print? I've already looked at thingiverse and other such sites, no luck Sad

While we are at it, what is the case material? ABS?

Thanks

/ji

Just as an FYI, the 19C battery door does not fit well at all without a battery pack installed. The 'spring' motion of the cells within the battery pack plastic case is an essential part of holding the rear door in place, so it's possible the door you have is actually proper.

You may know all this and the problem is still extent, but just wanted to let you know as it's not obvious when first using a 19C and wanted to save you time, effort and $ in case this is the case.
