WTB: HP-82169A HP-IL to HP-IB converter - Theremingenieur - 07-21-2024 12:24 AM

Dear community, I know that these HP-82169A HP-IL to HP-IB converters are rare and pop up on very seldom occasions, with box, manuals, as new, for horrendous prices.

That’s not what I’m looking for. I’m neither a collector, nor do I operate a museum.

I just want to extend my HP-41/HP-IL controlled hobby lab by a frequency counter. Unfortunately, there is none with a native HP-IL interface on the market, but HP-IB versions can be found and are affordable.

Thus, if someone has this interface for sale at a reasonable price, please let me know, so that my HP 3468A multimeter will not longer feel lonely in the loop. I don’t need whistles and bells, just the working interface, even without the handbook.

Thank you in advance!

Do you already have the 5385A counter w/HP-IB? If not, I might have one...

Theremingenieur you are located in France. Not fare away from North-Germany. I like you HP41 measurement lab application. Years ago on me side I build up an measurement lab system controlled by HP-41 + HP82166 IL Converter offering : Dual power supply / Digital-Voltmeter / Frequency-Counter / Frequency Signal Generator / Input-Output Interface.

When you are looking for a HP-82169 Interface please ask me. You are right = this HP-IL to HP-IB interface units are rare / exotic components ...

With best regards - Christoph

Hello @KimH,

Thank you for your message! I do not yet have a 5385A. I wanted to make sure, first, that I have access to an HP-IL to HP-IB converter before acquiring the counter. It looks like I’ll get closer to it, this Sunday.
Afterwards, I’ll write back here and we might start discussing.
