I realize that bitmaps render differently on different screens/browsers/etc., but scaling all of them by different factors to fit a predetermined size is not the best solution! At the very least, the reader should be able to tell that two images have different dimensions, even if they have both been scaled.

Is there a fix? I googled "mybb attachments" and the one suggestion I found was to change something in my CP profile, but that something was not there.

As far as I can tell the attachments, as files, viewable by clicking, are in their original sizes.

But they have fixed size thumbnails (size 96x48) in the post they are embedded in.

This might or might not be a helpful comment!

Here we go:

They can be sized, e.g. to 50x25:
