Which donor LCD display for HP48gx ? - husmus - 09-04-2024 02:11 PM I've seen folks say they've used an HP39g or HP49g LCD as a donor for the HP48GX. How about the HP39gs? Is that one compatible? Thanks. RE: Which donor LCD display for HP48gx ? - AndiGer - 09-04-2024 02:24 PM That question was answered one minute later here :-) https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-22270-post-191256.html#pid191256 RE: Which donor LCD display for HP48gx ? - Hiwi - 09-10-2024 12:20 PM All Saturn based calcs will work - 39gs and 40gs are Arm based and won't work. Are you looking for a black display? I am asking, because I have some HP48 displays stored for spare parts. I can send you one free of charge. Many HP49 are listed on ebay for a small price, but prices are increasing. You can search for an HP48 with keyboard error at a low price. Do you have some experience with display exchange? It is a bit tricky :-) Ralf RE: Which donor LCD display for HP48gx ? - Hiwi - 09-13-2024 03:07 PM Hi, i have sent a PN with some instructions to open the calc 'chemical' without force and replace the display. Here is my HP48SX (made in USA) with a 49G black display. The old display had a very poor contrast and the calc had the common keyboard issue. My newer HP48G has a blue display but with good contrast, so i decided not to change the display and repair only the keyboard problem and upgraded to 768K (5 port) RAM. 5 ports are enough, believe me. Happy programming Ralf [attachment=13942] |
