I see their keystrokes on page 46 match an algebraic, not an RPN calculator!

Yes, BUT - not all HP business/finance calculators/handheld-computers are strictly/solely RPN - yes?
 Perhaps users of these multi-notation machines can derive, at least a modest utility.
  Anyway, this is my intent.
   Your observation has merit.
